Journal - Tell me if you agree with this statement and then explain why or why not. "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted I should be able to use it."

I think this is true because if someone posts something on the internet they should be should be ready to let it be used, and if they don't want it to be used they shouldn't have posted it at all. If they really want something to be cited there should be should something next to the picture that says PLEASE CITE PICTURE, and if nothing says that then it's free game.

What is the importance of online safety and protecting your information? What do you do to protect yourself online? Share an experience you or someone you know has had with online safety.

It is very important to protect yourself online because people could figure out who you, and steal your identity, and even do something worse! so many people who have no sweg are online today, and could try to harm you. If you aren't careful online you're going to have a bad time.

I protect myself online by not having social networking sites besides twitter and my twitter is super private, son no one I don't want to see it can. On my Instagram i make sure no one who I don't is following me, and I don't follow anyone I don't know. If I did follow people I didn't know I might be stalked by some 40 year old loser with no sweg what so ever.

This person on Dr. Phil had someone stalk her because of an online thing. He did end up going to jail, but she could have been seriously injured or even killed.

Journal - Tell me what you know about Web 2.0. List example Web 2.0 sites. Are you on any sites that let you “post” information? What are those sites? How often do you use them? What do you post on them?

I use Twitter the most out of all the web 2.0 websites, I also have heard of  facebook, instagram, vine, myspace. 

I use twitter everyday because I think it is interesting to hear about people and to post things. It is very important to have these sites in today's world because you need to be social to be successful. You should always be careful about what you post because anyone can find out what you're saying if they try hard enough even if they delete it. 

I mainly post about my life and my friends.

Journal - After watching the short clip of Ashton Kutcher's acceptance speech what did you take away from his advice? What does this quote mean to you -"Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use."

The quote "Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use." What I took away from that quote is that you can become the head of something great whether it be a technological or change in human thinking. You can make the world how you want it to be. Make the world conform to you. You can lead revolution and become a legend, forever remembered for generations to come!

Ashton Kutcher thinks that being smart is sexy. In many ways this thought is true. If you are smart you can become a world leader. You can manipulate things much better in your life than you otherwise could. If you can understand the world better it makes you much more sexy, and that's really what I took away from this video of Ashton Kutcher!
